In the context of the global crisis of democracy, the authoritarian "axis of evil" is consolidating and expanding its reach across the world.

The processes and trends that were overlooked at the beginning of the new millennium have created ideal conditions for an "authoritarian comeback". This axis, comprising Russia, China, and Iran, seeks to bring chaos to the world, dividing it into isolated spheres of influence and reshaping the political landscape.

The free world has never been closer to what could be described as the "End of the History". However, "this End of the History" does not signify a victory for democracy and freedom, as Francis Fukuyama suggested; rather, it represents the exact opposite.

Today, true democracies must unite and step out of their «comfort zone» to confront the authoritarian axis or risk being erased from history tomorrow.

Europe and other democracies must strengthen their resolve. Freedom must be armed and ready to defend itself. World journalism and humanitarian science cannot ignore the ongoing events. Conscious representatives from these fields have a "sacred" duty to transfer the significance of these current developments to the masses.

We, the Resurgam community, aim to unite journalists, scientists, and opinion leaders from various parts of the world to raise awareness about the risks we face in our current situation.

Our mission is to assist the free world in breaking out of its comfort zone and facing the future as a united community. Just as the city-states of Ancient Greece set aside their differences to confront the Persian invasion, we must do the same today to combat the invasion of authoritarianism and the violence it entails.

In the past, philosophers and mediators played a crucial role in informing citizens and leaders about the threats posed by the Persians. We must emulate this effort today.

The planet will not come to a halt if we fail to act, but we should reflect on this question: "Would you want to live in a world where force, repression, and death become the foundation of society?"

We would not. That is why we are taking action right now in various parts of the free world.
